Ngl they're probably excited to stay on the iss longer, they both have long duration missions under their belts already. They work their entire lives to maybe not even go to space. So to be stuck there longer is probably a blessing. Yeah I'm sure it's tough being away from families but they prepare for contingencies.

It is criminal and totally incompetent for the ISS to not have always had a escape module always on the ISS. Itbis like the Titanic not being equipped with adequate lifeboats. Boeing had a bad design, but NASA was totally incompetent.
