Boeing employees ‘humiliated’ that upstart rival SpaceX will rescue astronauts stuck in space

Boeing employees are “humiliated” after NASA announced that two astronauts who have been stranded on the International Space Station by the company’s troubled Starliner space capsule will have to be rescued by Elon Musk’s upstart rival SpaceX, one worker told The Post. NY Post reporter Steve Helling shares this story.

Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams — who went up the ISS in June for what was supposed to be an 8-day mission — will have to wait another six months until a SpaceX Crew Dragon space craft can carry them safely home because their original ride is leaking helium and has problems with its thrusters.

The Florida-based staffer with Boeing’s space program said the decision was the latest blow for the aerospace giant, which is already suffering backlash from a slew of commercial flight incidents earlier this year.

Maybe Boeing should concentrate on quality and safety instead of DEI. Just a thought.

They should be embarassed. . . .if that is how they really feel.
NASA should send the SPACEX bill to Boeing.

Astronauts should sue NASA and Boeing for leaving them stranded in the first place!

Boeing should be grateful and happy that the two astronauts are going to be rescued, that's the most important thing here. Then they can deal with the fallout from clearly serious issues of the company.

being embarrassed should be the least of their worries

What do you get when you cross Lost in Space with Gilligan's Island? A joke about Boeing Starliner's first crewed mission... "Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale a tale of a fateful trip, that started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty astronaut, the Skipper brave and sure..."
