I think the ROTC route is attractive alternative as it provides both a college experience and a military upbringing, while attending the top colleges and universities under full scholarship.

This my dream school. I hope to study Aeronautical Engineering and Airpower studies in order to become a pilot. I have many airmen in my family and if I get in, I’ll be the first Air Force Officer in my family. Hope I’ll be part of the class of 2031!

Very informative video.
I’m someone prejudice being a mustang Marine and Naval Academy graduate at 1979 .

But I’m also a proud son of a woman in AirCorps, an army, air corps pilot from World War II who both trained in Colorado Springs .

Active duty members do not need a senator recommendation, they’ll just need CC approval. AF Form 1786.

My best friend got accepted into the academy. Let me list off his achievements.

1st both state senator signed for him
2 4.5 gpa+ 1 year of college completed in HS. All his classes were ap. Advanced
3. All state in soccer. Basketball and tennis.
4. Eagle scout for the boyscouts
5. Lead a state recongized volunteer group to cleaning up asbestos in his community.
6. Volunteer emergency responder.
7. Worked summers for forest service fighting wildfires.

If you guys do plan on going to Air Force, Naval, or West Point, I'd recommend a gap year before you go since you will deal with a lot of BS, especially during your first year
