Why do some people develop and mature their MBTI types faster than others? Does childhood play a role or is there something deeper within you either pushing you forward or holding you back? Check out this clip from my conversation with @erikthor

As a at least self typed ISTP I grew up with problems with my father being a damaged FJ (I think). I feel like growing up as the only introvert in the family I was forced to learn some other functions. I am currently dealing with neurological problems that makes it harder to use anything other than Ti and Ni. I'm 42 and have worked a lot on myself. I started this journey because of the conflict with FJ'S including my soon to be ex. I feel better after reading that my life experiences are shared by many other ISTP but at the same time I feel like I do have a much better range than most. At the same time it's that range that makes me doubt my self typing. However I have all the marks of an ISTP. The calm, the violated feeling when controlled, the hobbies, the drive to be the best even if it's a stupid weirdly specific application, the type of relationship I wanted, the conflict with feeling types and so on. I believe my soon to be ex was an FJ with trauma and anxious attachment. Her experience was opposite mine and she has always avoided any sort of self work. It's really sad how damaged people can get.

Facing Love Addiction Pia Mellody would have been one of the 1st books about this push pull stuff, easyish to understand harder to change but doable i am sure depending on the amount of core wounds.
