SpaceX is facing some difficult decisions regarding their newly planned Starship deluge system. Last work is being done on Super Heavy Booster 7, and Ship 24 is ready for the orbital launch. Meanwhile, Relativity is doing baby steps toward Space, figuring out how to operate a Terran 1 rocket! Let's dive right in!

Could this be thew deluge system design? What do you think?

That sheetmetal they put around the opening for the Pez Dispenser is called a doubler or trippler. It's used to increase the structural strength of a given area. In this case the weakness is caused by the big hole they cut in the fuselage. That first hole they cut was just for practice so they could figure out the final layout for the real Pez Dispenser.

That large orbital launch tower model behind you is just amazing!!!

The Orbital Launch Mount flame trench issue has seen significant issues. It appears SpaceX wanted to reinvent/simplify the design but materials were not up to the task. I am waiting for them to resolve the issues related to heat, pressure and sound using 20x the water used so far. Water has an enormous capacity to absorb heat energy and also destructive sonic energy. In my opinion a water based system is the way to go

"The sun will slowly bake us all to death" said so cheerfully and with a little bit of a smile.

Another great report, Felix! Love your positivity. Hooray for Starship, and let's all root for Relativity and Terran 1 as well!!!

Really excited for Terran I! Glad they're taking a minute before the next attempt. Every one of them has updated processes, so a bit of time to get used to it would help.

The white Strship looks much better, they should paint all of the rocket white and black in the Apollo style.

Nothing can be 'very' unique. Unique cannot be modified. It's either unique or it's not.

50% chance of getting to orbit and 100% chance of excitement

Every time I hear about Relativity space and their 3D printed rocket, the thoughts of the future and the possibilities just leave me awe struck. This one is going to probably explode on the pad. We're expecting it, it's probably going to happen. Just like the Falcon series, it'll take a number of iterations before they succeed at getting their rocket to space. I consider that a good thing. After seeing the iterative process work so well for SpaceX, I hope that Relativity can absorb several failed initial attempts. Just imagine them being able to fully 3D print a rocket, or anything else space worthy. Starting from an assembly plant, a whole station could be printed and built in space, or as a base on whatever asteroid is providing the materials.

Imagine that you are 25 years old and that you have been selected to be part of the crew of the first spaceship leaving for another planet in another solar system. The journey is expected to take 40 years.
Arrived on site you are greeted by a hundred people who show you their base.
They are part of the crew of the 3rd ship, which left Earth 5 years after you. Their ship uses a new nuclear-powered engine that has cut travel time in half.

The decision is indecision, right? And I am a Starship fan.

Great video brother! I really appreciate all of the work you do to keep us all up to date!

They should have a catch tower on drone ship for Starship. To practice landing on.

Anyone else feels like Elon is underestimating their odds? This sounds like first launch of falcon heavy... And you know how reliable that was.

Looking forward to the excitement. Much like the Falcon Heavy test launch party.

The payload bay door needs to be stuctural when closed. Just as it was for the space shuttle. When the door is closed it interlocks with the rest of the payload structure and provides resistance to loads in all phases of flight except for satellite deployment. To be strong in compression, it needs to have locks on the top and bottom, not just a top lock and bottom slide.

I sometimes comment mid-video so I don't forget interesting points to comment on. Earlier I commented on the 'recycling deluge sytem' as reality. Now I realize it is WAI speculation. It would be a wonderful solution, no ecological impact from wastewater, no complex & obstructive deflection structures, beautiful, hope it works!

Where did you get that amazing starship and launch pad model from?
