I heard “second tower” and had unholy thoughts.

I'm puzzled why SpaceX would build a site about a mile from the Mexican border. They can't patrol, investigate or secure the Mexican side of the border. If someone on the Mexican side bought a long gun capable of shooting a mile, (which most can do) all they would need to do is hit a fueled rocket which is 30 feet wide and 400 feet high. A standard .22 rifle ammo pack often has the warning, "Dangerous up to 1.5 miles." Hitting a 400 foot-high rocket at 5, 280 feet away would be the same kind of angle as hitting a 40 foot barn at 528 feet away or a 4 foot person at 52.8 feet away. Sounds like anyone could do that.
