Hi my loves!
I've been promising you this video for over a year. Well, I couldn't really make myself to do it and digest everything in one seating. Until now.

I'm sharing my whole cabin crew journey, how it started in 2017 and how it ended in 2020.

Thank you for your support and patience with me.

Love you!

Dear Adriana, I want to hug you and thank you for such an insightful video! I just cannot agree more with everything you said. I was nodding all the time how relatable your experience is to mine. I have worked for another Middle East airline (you know which one) and it was more or less the same. Tbh, now it makes me cringe all these cabin crew influencers who totally brainwash people that this job is just about ''trAveLLinG tHE wORld'' with your fancy hat on your head. Yes, you do travel and get a chance to see nice places, but it's so so far from the image, which is pushed on social media. For example, in New York you get only 24 hours layover (i.e. ~22 after you reach the hotel) when the flight is nearly 14hrs! You're exhausted, your body clock is completely messed up, never sleep and eat at the same time. Not even mentioning dirty passengers who coughing in your face without covering their mouths, throwing up on your skirt, touching you without your permission with their unwashed hands for hours, leaving toilets gross af. And sick policy is so lame. If you're sick, it's always your fault, because ''you're not managing your health properly''. So, if a nauseous child on a flight throws up on me and I get infected and unwell, how come is it my fault lol? People dream about this job when they're stuck in the offices and don't realise that after you work as cabin crew for a while, you start dreaming of a stable job, where you can have your lunch at the same time, sleep during the night and just have peaceful state of mind. Sorry for a long talk and thanks for sharing your story again! Much love to you!

I am a cabin crew, working for a major carrier, and I must say that being a cabin crew is NOT for everyone, it is NOT easy and you either love it or hate it. This is not only about going to exotic places and getting to fly, this is about service, is about passengers (the good and the bad), is about colleagues (the good and the bad), is about company policies (stupid and great ones), and overall everything else, it is about inflight SAFETY and not for you to take selfies in your uniform only. If you fly in a company which *actually cares* about you, then you will not stop flying EVER. It is addictive. Period. I would love for young newcomers to stop believing that Emirates, Qatar and Etihad are the real deal and to actually start pursuing realistic companies which do not pursue you for the slightest thing like these do.
Supervisors have to be there for you and the flight performance, seniors are there for their team, and cabin crew are there for passengers safety mainly, not focus primarily in service.
Stop falling for the uniforms and the looks, find the real places that actually care about their people.

As an ex crew and diagnosed with depression i can say that if you fly (refers to women) you have to check your thyroid hormones. They got affected from flying. I am on hormones and feel much better now. Thank you for sharing your story

Found this video after watching Josh video on his recent Qatar flight experience. I am shocked to hear how they treated you! What an experience, I hope you have learned from this, got stronger from it and can find a better future! Every experience makes you stronger somehow. On my last year flight AMS to SIN on SQ, a younger Singaporean stewardess I was talking to and another steward about the airlines and staff experience during and after the pandemic, she told she was with Qatar and I think she got retrenched, but was now with SIA and was kind of training the younger steward. I am happy she is with SIA now, and I hope she is happy too, after hearing your experiences, it is such a toxic environment wish you much Happiness in your future! Rememeber Happiness is an attitude (not something to be found in some

2 days ago I travelled to another city for Emirates assessment day unfortunately got eliminated at first group discussion and I was wondering where I went wrong because I'm meeting 100% criteria but now after watching your video I realized that whatever happened is blessing, late realization but now I know this job is not for me being a person who loves her family and can't function without proper rest and meals. Thank u so much for honest dipiction of this so called dream Job.💕💕

I’m one of the guys who will become a CCM after two months, so when I watch your video now, I tell myself OMG it I’ll be so tough to encounter all of these thing on board. To me, I don’t plan to spend my whole life as a CCM but sometimes things doesn’t go like you want and you seek for a money to live and settle. Adding to that, travelling always be my favourite option and that was a major reason to push me ahead.

You’re so beautiful girl, I really appreciate your tears 😢 because it tell us the truth.
Thanks for opening your heart to us ❤

God bless you ADRIANA ❤

There are so many things behind the scenes as we all cabin crew know exactly how it goes, but also it is a fact that flying is not for everybody, definitely not for you or at least not in any of the airlines from the Middle East (because the pressure is the same)maybe try hospitality but in another field, options are endless, I really hope you are fully recover now and that chapter of your life where you explored the world, will be always in your memories next to your heart..big hughs

I’m glad you are in a better place. It’s a job, but it’s not a job that will pamper you. They drain your energy and say you should’ve know what you were signing yourself up for. I did a VI, I was scared and worried more than excited. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do, but the yolo was empowering me. When I heard back I was not selected. I felt bummed, but happier. As long I know it was not meant to be. I know my VI was wonderful. I’ve never failed an interview before. It is best to be rejected before a real interview. I bet it is stressful and depressing. I already felt the emotions before not even being offered the job. My intuition was with me.

I’m sorry what you went through. I wish I can wipe your tears and give you a hug. You’re so sweet. You had to keep pushing yourself. I know you will remember this trauma, but know it was an experience to learn from. It may break you, but don’t let it ruin you and your life. Hang in there and time will heal. You are not alone. When you feel anxiety or trauma, say this, “I am not alone in this.” Others have made it and you will too. It is your story and life, they put you through so much, an unforgettable experience, the lack of support and empathy from your employer. Idk how your ex can cheat on you. Be strong. You’re beautiful and will find someone better. People who do such things, never get away. You should thank that person for taking your ex from you. The problem is in her hand now.

Don’t cry anymore. You speak wonderful. Don’t worry about grammars. English is my second language. As an introvert, I type better than I speak. You are strong.

I can relate to every single word u have described. Qatar Airways has never cared about its staff and will never do. We are just numbers that can be replaced anytime. I can guarantee that 99% of staff are suffering from depression and mental health breakdown. I was surviving for 6.5 years working with them and finally I resigned. I have seen alot of tragedy and shit behind the scenes. You are lucky you have spent 2 years only. How I wish I go back in time and take the decision earlier.
