About 10 years ago my pug came up missing. 5 years later I was called to a house on a service call to do repairs. The pug they had who was by that time seriously over weight got super excited. I immediately recognized him. The family had purchased him 5 years back. They had never taken him to a vet but volunteered having his chip scanned. Turns out it was in fact my peanut. I didn’t have the heart to separate him from the family he had come to love. The family and I became close friends and anytime they were away, I house sat for them and got my quality time with Peanut.
