I called my mom and she didn't trust me, so she called me and I didn't trust her.

Here is the big rub, even after doing all of these things for years I still got a notice of data breach from a bank that I no longer even have an account with.
Unless something is done to hold big companys (banks, medical providers etc) responsible for OUR data security it's kinda like locking the front door but leaving all the windows, back door and garage wide open.

My boss lost half a million from doing what Chuck suggests and searching the internet for the support number. Called the number, got the hacker. Chuck's advice is a good start but even more is needed. Negative trust.

The FBI pressures companies to reduce their security and encryption so they can have a back door. Personally I'd want cyber security without ties to them...

I've been hacked several times already. 4 times in 2024.
I started learning Linux and Python and learning about hacking because of it.
Thank you for your videos.

Soon we'll all just want to go back to Landlines and handwritten letters. Scammers were still there, but less so. Lol

Try not to use text messages as 2fa if possible, it's the easiest of the mfa to get around.

My fiancée works as a supervisor at Starbucks and called me as soon as their systems got hit with an SSL stripping attack. The wild part? The team was just going to keep using the systems like nothing happened if she hadn’t stepped in. Just goes to show—education is everything. One of the most important things we can do is help people outside of security understand what’s really at stake.

Network Chuck: password manager is safe
Logic: What if the manager gets hacked?

Now the hacker only need 1 password to get everything you protected

I have a laptop I use just for surfing... and other "things".... Theres no personal info on it. I can re-image it in 10 minutes if need be.... best way I think to protect yourself.
