Hackers Just Deleted My YouTube Channel, But They Never Had My Password. So how did they do it?

On Thursday, after rage quitting a 3 hour gaming sesh, I received the worst email ever. "We have removed your channel from YouTube". And just below that, 7 security alerts from Google. Okay, I'm hacked.

But wait, I have an unbreakable password.

15 characters, upper case, lower case, special characters, and numbers. In theory this takes a computer 15 billion years to crack. That's just above the age of the universe.

Which doesn't matter if you made this next mistake.

You see, your username and password are only really needed to create a session token. This tells an app who to login, so they don't have to keep logging in. And hackers can easily get this, if you download a shady file from the internet. The weakest link in cybersecurity are humans. That's how..
