This video shows you how to install a front engine mount on your 2004-2006 Scion xB. A shaking or vibrating engine, or bucking when changing gears are signs of worn engine mounts.

This repair was done on a 2005 Scion xB Base 1.5L Wagon 4-Door FWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2004 Scion xB
2005 Scion xB
2006 Scion xB

Thank you for your videos. They are so well done with no fluff. My manual says 38ft/lb torque for 1st two bolts (bolts B) but the bracket bolts (bolts A) is 33ft/lb.

For replacing this motor mount can you have like. A 2 jack stand set up and using a regular jack to bring the motor down after unscrewing what needs to be unscrewed . Would it affect the replacement if done like this ?

Can you only remove the top 2.... 14mm bolts ( I guess you would call it the mounting points to the ENGINE....and not the other bolts TO THE CHASSIS)...just those top 2, 14mm bolt if you want to LOWER the engine...and if so....wouldn't tha be all that is required for water pump repair?....OR....do you need to take ALL the engine mount hardware off....such that you can also LIFT the engine for water pump repair?
