A veteran's deep dignity in front of a judge's deep humanity.

The veteran has pride and honor . You can clearly tell that he doesn't have the money but still insisted on paying the fine . A real man with a big heart . Im not even american yet I respect men like him .

The veteran has not even asked to reduce the payment, he only asked to give him time to pay it. My greatest respect!

As a retired man with 22 years service I'd like to thank this Judge for his comments and care. This is a man who has a heart and sees the good in each and every person. We need more like him sitting on the bench, would be a much better world. Time to stop the hating and spread more love and grace. God bless you Judge.

My step dad is a Vietnam vet disabled from agent orange. Absolutely breaks my heart hearing the stories about the way he was treated even by his own family after coming home. Weather you agree or disagree with the war, vets SHOULD NEVER be treated with anything but respect.

A serviceman's true humility, a judge's deep sincerity. They are ingredients for hope in our world.

He doesn't treat them as criminals but as humans. We need judges like him all over the world... He's so kind and understanding

I walked up to a Vietnam Veteran (because he had a ball cap on displaying it) and told him, "Thank you for your service in Vietnam and I'm glad you made it back alive." I shook his hand and walked off. Then a few minutes later he was crying and his wife was hugging him. In my heart I believe I did the right thing. These Vietnam Vets went through PURE HELL! This bullshit war murdered at least 58, 000 soldiers all because of the "Gulf of Tonkin Incident". Which the U.S Government admitted to lying about.

I’m a grown man, and this judge brought me to tears. What an amazing man.

What a humble veteran. He didn't boast about his service or himself being a vet, he didn't ask for any special treatment or entitlement, he only ask for more time so that he could gather enough to pay for his mistake. True humble patriot! And the judge is a true caring person. God tells us not to judge others, but I believe He allows this man judge others. God bless these people!

This is the person they should be putting on the supreme court. He's fair, kind, and extremely respectful.

A little empathy and kindness goes a long way.

I've seen two things in common in Vietnam vets and that are: humility and honesty/dignity (they make no excuses whatsoever). Huge respect to them...
And hats off to the ever compassionate Judge Caprio...
