ALERT! NASA warns of two huge asteroids heading towards Earth in 48 hours

NASA JPL has classified two massive asteroids as a "Potentially Hazardous Asteroid" due to its predicted close passes with Earth. The asteroids passing through earth are asteroid 2022 VR1 and Asteroid 2019 OR1.

The asteroid 2022 VR1 was detected on October 31, 2022. This near-Earth object belongs to the Aten group. The size of this asteroid is approximately 154 feet. And It makes one orbit around the Sun in 365 days.

The distance of the asteroid 2022 VR1 from Earth is currently 1.64 million kilometers, equivalent to 0.01 astronomical units. Light takes 0 minutes and 5 seconds to travel from the asteroid 2022 VR1 and arrive to us.

This asteroid 2022 VR1 will pass past Earth on November 20 at 14:21.

Next asteroid is asteroid 2019 OR1. The asteroid 2019 OR1 was discovered on July 27, 2019. This near-Earth object belongs to the Aten group. And the size of this asteroid is approximately 977 feet.

2019 OR1 orbits the sun every 343 days (0.94 years), coming as close as 0.59 AU and reaching as far as 1.32 AU from the sun. Based on its brightness and the way it reflects light, 2019 OR1 is probably between 0.184 to 0.411 kilometers in diameter, making it a small to average asteroid, very roughly comparable in size to a football field.
