NASA Warns of Coming Massive Solar Storm to Earth!

Recently there was an unusual solar storm on the Sun, which formed a giant fire canyon. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory showed a vivid animation of this huge ejection of charged plasma. The solar wind reached Earth in April 2022.

And on August 9, after a solar flare, charged particles bombarded our planet again. At 600 kilometers per second [372 miles per second], they collided into Earth's magnetosphere, causing auroras. The northern lights were visible in U.S. states from Maine to New York.

But scientists say this time we were just lucky - if a more powerful solar storm hit the Earth, instead of a brilliant celestial show, it could have ended in a disaster.

Solar storms have already shown their destructive power at least twice in the past. Now our Sun is once again nearing its maximum activity and the likelihood of another powerful burst of plasma is increasing.

How did these solar flares affect our planet in the past? And does the peak of our star’s activity in 2023 threaten the Earth’s destruction?

Bet they'll still find a way to tax us for it.

1:35 "But the highest energy particles can overcome the same distance in just 2 minutes!"
I don't get it bro, you're saying these particles are traveling about 1 250 000 km.s‐¹, more than 4 times the speed of light.
How is it possible? Did I misunderstand something?

I don't see that there's much we can do about it. Worrying and being afraid certainly won't help.

Hear me out… if this does happen. Imagine all the stars we could see without light pollution

Sad thing is, it’ll take an extreme event like that for us to truly move our efforts more towards space travel.

1:29 you guys might need to review your sources. Sun to Earth in 2 minutes is well over the speed of light.

It's been said for years, and scoffed at. Good to see it covered.

The manmade extra van Alan belt shield is science fiction. The field is 15% weaker according to NASA tho they don't shout about it. That's indicative of a magnetic pole excursion/reversal. The shell collapses of a direct hit in those circumstances would be spectacular and catastrophic. There is a phenomenon argued for there being an abnormal rate of decay turn towards earth facing positions from sun spots or limb shot cmes after. The planets aligned for the tsunamis along with earth facing activity. It's interesting if not so tragic.

We are the fleas of the earth and it can shake us off at any time.

Personally, I don't think us humans can pretect ourselves if a massive solar storm Burts. We don't have enough knowledge as yet as to what we need to do to protect the planet and ourselves.

Devastating solar flares... Oh wow, nice!.. something to look forward to in 2023, because we've been having such a boring couple of years since the decade began, im glad to see something is going to come along an make it interesting!.😅

don't worry, it's only the great awakening trigger. Those that were activated will know what I'm talking about. sending you light and love!

Am I the only one waiting for a huge catastrophe to hit earth? Like, really huge! Because that would be iconic!

I've known about this for about a year and in the next 2-3 years we will see the sun be very active

Actually, the most dangerous is a solar micronova. They happen on average every 12k years.

If earth ever gets incinerated like this the only thing I'd want is for the pain to end quick.

They found Mammoths frozen in the ground. They still had unchewed grass in their mouths, the Solar Flare happened that quickly. Hopefully we won't know what hit us.

There is nothing anyone can do but trust. All is well. As I think of it, there is little to save here. Energy cannot be destroyed so "let 'er rip!"

I wrote a book about this called When the Lights Went Out! Check it out! It's a terrifyingly possible apocalypse to modern society, and most of us would not be able to survive
