Thank you, Brian. 🙏🏼

23H2 users are having BSOD/Bootloop issues from a recent (optional) update, *KB5043145.* If you installed that one prior to moving to 24H2, that might be your problem.

Personally, I've gotten to the point where I no longer download/install *anything* from Microsoft that's 'optional' because of nonsense like this. 🙄

(I hope you get it figured out! 🤞🏼)

Seems Microsoft Engineers also work for Crowdstrike. Guys lets put into production something we never even ran by QA, brick the whole world. lol

Even though I'm running a Linux distro now, I still watch when Britec09 posts Windows videos. Now, it's to help with watch hours; back then, it was to see if he had a fix for something that screwed up in Windows.

I did a clean installation on 24H2 from USB and the Windows works pretty well for me. I've been using my PC for 4-5 hours now without any problems

The more videos like this I see about Windows 11 screwing up something, the more I'm so happy I chose to remain on Windows 10.

Thank you for this. I subscribe to all the major tech channels like LTT, Gamer's Nexus, Hardware Unboxed, and many others, and you are the only person who has said anything about this. I'm sticking with Windows 10 until EOS myself, as I want to keep using a fully mature OS and not be a beta test subject. It has always been my approach with Windows. I just about cried when Win 7 reached EOS. Luckily, that meant I never had to touch Win 8. I'm hoping for the same good fortune with Win 11. Windows 12(of course they will) hopefully will be on the "good" side of the cycle, as all Windows OS's have historically been(95-bad, 98-sort of good, ME-bad, XP-good, Vista-bad, 7-great! 8-bad, 10-good, 11-bad...)

I installed 24H2 yesterday on my 2 machines using the media creation tool and then installed Explorer Patcher with no issues, EP has now got its own version of the win-10 taskbar and it looks great cannot tell the difference, Thanks Brian

I really wish Microsoft would quit with these "feature updates" and would just do security updates... Exactly HOW many people even use these features and apps they're adding in?

The old philosophy "We trust that users will install the apps they want to use, and we'll only include a few basic utilities, including a no-frills web browser so downloading another one is easy" is something they need to adopt once again, because good lord are they ruining Windows.

They wonder why these huge issues keep happening - that's kinda what happens when you shoehorn tons of massive features onto an OS which is designed to basically be universal in what it runs on. Apple can get away with it since they have a very limited set of hardware it works on; Windows doesn't have that luxury. We're talking millions of hardware configurations. It's a miracle that it works as well as it does as it is, but again, they're really sabotaging things.

I don't understand...many youtubers recommend Win11 as ready and more stable but time and time again I see issues with the OS so why bother to jump from Win10 not worth the risk, I will either find ways to keep uodating after October 2025 or jump to Linux, after so many Microsoft failures and privacy issues we deserve some fresh air away from them.

Thanks so much for doing this as I was wondering why my computer hadn't updated to 24H2 after seeing these problems not sure I want to update if it's going to cause problems. I know just enough to be dangerous and the last thing I want to have to do is a fresh install because of windows update corrupting my system. That has happened before many years ago and it was a big headache and I lost data that I couldn't get back because I don't know much about data recovery programs... Thanks again...

Sounds like it's better to hold off updating until a patch is released to correct this.🤔

Interesting how this is happening with some people

Not happening with me after updating to 24H2 since I take risks seriously after forcing install the update via the installation update

The problems are with the update from .1742 to .1882. Supposedly, MS had pulled it due to issues. The problem isn't with update to 24H2 (.1742) but the additional update to .1882 which is installed when you update to 24H2

Thank you for showing this, I will wait for this to get sorted as I'm not a tech type of person.

My PC supports Windows 11, but I went into the BIOS and turned Off TPM. Ran the Microsoft Health Check and it said my computer did not meet the requirements to Install Windows 11. I'll stay on Windows 10 until it's no longer supported...then I'm on to Linux. In the meantime I'll start to learn Linux Mint.
