Just updated through the assistant tool. Whole OS seems to work more smoothly. Also fixed some bugs for me ( opening the quick settings used to freeze the OS for 2 secs). Good update, Microsoft!!

One of my Windows 11 computers was still operating on Windows 11 22H2 a few months ago, I had the “Get the Latest Updates” toggle turned on and did check for updates multiple times throughout several weeks. However, I had not received the update for Windows 11 23H2.

After confirming through PC Health Check that my computer is capable of running Windows 11, I downloaded a standalone installer for Windows 11 23H2 and successfully installed it. Now my computers are running Windows 11 23H2.

As soon as I saw this, I immediately made sure the toggle is turned off and paused updates for the next 4 weeks. (The latest I can delay it) That should at least give me time to avoid any showstoppers.

Decided to do a full backup, and clean install of Windows 11 24H2 on my studio desktop pc, and start with a clean-slate, something I always like to do whenever Microsoft release a major update for Windows 11, such as this one.

Everyone should wait untill October 10th when the stable ones are released, however you could wait for some bug fixes untill November 1st and then update.

I also just updated to Windows 11 24H2 via the assistant tool on both of my computers, a desktop PC and a gaming laptop, so far no major issues.

Thanks for the link to the working 24H2 download as when I search for Windows 11 media creation tool the first result is still for 23H2.

I installed 24H2 on my 2 main machines using media creation tool to do an inplace upgrade then installed Explorer Patcher and except for the win-11 taskbar all things went well and hav'nt had any problems, It also fixed a bug where the Bluetooth driver got corrupted while using earphones that seems to have sorted itself out

I'm currently running 24H2 on unsupported hardware. I'm lacking secure boot and the TPM 2.0. I used the Windows Insider Program to download the "release channel" iso (using the "/product server" option in cmd prompt) earlier this morning.

Why is my access to the Microsoft homepage denied? Is it because my old computer has been blocked by Microsoft? Isn't anyone accessing the Microsoft homepage blocked like me?
