Adopting the AM4 platform in 2018 was the best gaming PC decision I ever made. Over the years, I went from a R5 2400G, R7 2700, R5 5600X, and then a R5 5600X3D on the same B450 motherboard.

A week ago I saw a 5300G in DDTech (Mexican Store), at first I tought it was a store's mistake, but now I see it's true.
The price was 2, 200 MXN or 111 USD.
I think it's not a big deal because a year ago I got the 5600G for 2, 000 MXN or 100 USD

I'm on AM4 with the Ryzen 5 5600X and am soon going to upgrade to the Ryzen 7 5700X3D or maybe another chip. I'm really happy about this that they're still releasing AM4 chips!

everytime I saw you wrong zach, about AM4 being dying, I've always not checking the date of the release video because it might be true. But today I have checked the date and was surprised by the fact it was not even 10 minutes old video, this one just released. This is why I love AMD because even till the end of October 2024, AM4 still budget king, just hoping AMD will do the same for AM5 for atleast 2067 mirroring of what they've done with AM4

At this point I think we should do with AM4 like the Imperium of Man does with Caiphas Cain. Despite having passed on with old age, is still considered an 'active' agent because he's had so many close calls and false alarms.

AMD's continued support for AM4 makes it an easy choice for me between an Intel platform and an AM5 one for the gaming pc I am currently saving money for.
