Two easy ways to make half square triangles - quilting for beginners

Half-square triangles, or HSTs, are a common unit in many quilt blocks. There are several ways to make them so I will demonstrate my two favorites. I like to make scrappy quilts with many different fabrics and these methods allow me to quickly cut a variety of triangles.
