Comparing the Evidence: Sola Scriptura and the Papacy

As a former Fundamentalist (we viewed evangelicals as Christian Lite) our theology was based almost exclusively on the book of Romans. When u interpret Roman's in the light of ALL the scripture, you come away with a very different conclusion.
Sola Scriptura basically means
Only MY INTERPRETATION of Scripture.

That seems consistent. If we want to require explicit support from Scripture for one doctrine, shouldn’t we require it for another?

An argument like “If God wanted us to have a continuing infallible teaching office, he would have just told us directly in Scripture” could naturally be followed by the argument “If God wanted us to believe that Scripture was the sole rule for faith and morals then he would have told us directly in Scripture.”

Jesus has a Kingdom, therefore there is a hierarchy. Jesus is head of His Church. The Pope is the vicar of Christ just like St. Peter, when Jesus left the keys of Jesus Kingdom here on earth to St. Peter.
As Jesus is one with the Father, Jesus wants us to be one as a Church. Jesus does not want us to be making up our own churches, Jesus wants us to learn from His Apostles and their successors and build up God’s Kingdom.

YOU REALLY MUST STUDY THE BIBLE NOT THE ERRORS THAT FOLLOW. You contradict the Apostles and cannot be saved, time is short and you need to repent and follow the gospel of Acts .BELIEVE AND REPENT . CHANGE YOUR MIND, ABOUT YOUR STANDING BEFORE GOD .THAT JESUS CAME TOO SAVE SINNERS . They say you are lost and must believe and repent not follow the rules of the Roman church, which was changed by Theodosius who changed the gospel by saying everyone must join the Roman church.

Sola Scriptura properly understood simply means that it is the ultimate authority but certainly not the only authority and there is far more evidence for this than the papacy in the early church.

And you'll have your questions answered both in the Patristic view of Scripture and the Patristic unanimous consent on Matthew 16. What you're basically doing is shifting the burden of proof to the Protestants and there you go, here's the proof.

sola scriptura is the inspired word of God, not MAN MADE TEACHING. Heb . 1 .says in times past God spoke through the prophets . The last prophetic message came from the Apostles anything after them is false and contradicts them.

The concept of Sola Scriptura is clear and logical deduction based on numerous biblical references.

Sola Scriptura is found in both Scripture (Mark 7 for instance) & is found explicitly in church fathers. Catholic historians argue against an early papacy.
