Man those who are starting college watching this kind of content are so lucky, one of the “bad sides” to watching these kinds of videos is that you realize you were never “dumb” or “not talented” enough you just didn’t have the right roadmap the right information, the right teacher to guide the decisions you make.

im 21yo, in my 3rd year of bachelors(cse) and ngl since i started getting serious about career and what to do, i realised that people of my age have done so much already that im late and regret those 2 years of wasting time doing nothing with an average gpa , makes me feel demotivated but i try to counter that feeling by making myself believe that its never too late and 1 year can change a lot and i already started being dedicated, religiously learning, building stuffs , cut off useless scrolling time on social media and made a routine
Im not confident enough to get an internship at microsoft and other big techs due to lack of skills but im gonna aim for it next year with a strong resume . 1 year, 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, each day making the most out of it .

It's gotten so bad to the point where I don't even get a word back from an unpaid internship that's located 800 miles from where I live. Its just sad

Let’s stop pretending leetcode is this insurmountable obstacle. Just do the Neetcode 150 in order and you’ll be fine. Should take you a month at most, assuming you’ve taken data structures. I did this and got 4 job offers, including an experienced hire job, this grad season

The fact that you need to have extensive prior experience to get an INTERNSHIP is wild! This applies to almost every industry. I left my career in sales about a year ago to pursue software development. I had no prior experience whatsoever but have become fairly proficient. I knew it was going to be an uphill battle about a month before I put in my resignation when I tried to hire a summer intern with no prior sales experience but had an insatiable desire to learn. My boss told me there were other qualified candidates that I had interviewed that would be a better fit. None of them had the personality for sales and didn't even seem interested in learning more other than "how to make more money." I've started applying for internships but haven't gotten any call backs yet. I'll get there but this notion of requiring 5 years of experience for a sub-entry-level position is making it very frustrating.

Super valuable take on the subject. I've watched many internship videos but none were as direct as yours. I may be in my first year but I am looking to get ahead even though I still need more practice into coding.

exactly resume should be clean and clear, The color resumes are rejected, a friend of mine told me that his company passes the resume through a software and if the resume is not clean and clear it is rejected before even reaching a physical hirer...

Insightful information. Great work man! I had received O/A for TikTok and Snowflake and both had hard dynamic programming problems just like you mentioned in the video.

Okay like the question is what do you do when you have LITERALLY nothing technical to put on your resume? These types of videos always say “while you may not have much technical experience…” when in reality so many people have none. I go to a pretty good school and am majoring in CS & Math yet have no experience to provide to my resume. Where would I possibly start just magically gaining experience?

Thanks to your video I just realized why I have been failing every hackerrank coding interview. And I have had a lot of interviews. Lol. Thankfully I have been able to land an unpaid internship as an artificial intelligence engineer and we are riding with python and I am struggling mightily I'm going to start leetcode tomorrow so that I can get better at my job

last suggestion is what actually works, unfortunatelly if you're an international student your not going to have any connections and any referral you get off of linkedIn still won't get you interviews.

Did an AWS internship in 2023 but fumbled the return offer. I'd say it's too late to find a role for 2024 but I'm preparing for 2025 intern and new grad roles. Is anything new needed for applicants in the current job market?
