I can actually say that I completely agree with this. When I joined my uni a few years ago, they started us off with Python to teach us the basics of programming. Once I got the basics and we moved to more advanced concepts, I wanted to create my own programs that I had in mind.

I could never execute the front end because Python cannot create windows, buttons and such, natively. They do have Tkinter for UI related stuff, but then you had to learn another package in order to use it.

I started learning JS. (HTML & CSS is easy enough to pick up in a few hours at most). I could now create the backend AND front end, while seeing my work come together. It was the best feeling ever seeing my vision come to life *during* development.

Hi, I'm a roumainian programmer close to my 30's.
I've been working on a JS library (for about 3 months) and currently adding finishing touches ( error handling, typescript, github and possibly npm )
I call it iSQL which allows querying JSON objects at runtime with SQL-like syntax (custom language). Supports all operations SQL does and even some custom ones I added.
There's no database doing it, its all JS and about 1.5k lines of code.

Is this an adequate project for a Back-End Developer. How about Front-End Developer ?
Have I got carried away and jumped the gun with this first project ?

I would highly appreciate your input.
