I learned that in the doctor’s office, 140/90 is high because of the phenomenon of “white coat syndrome.” Any comments? I ask because a friend (yes, really) had a BP reading of 137/77 at a new patient appointment and the new doc immediately put her on medication. That seemed a little abrupt to me. But hey, what do I know? 🤷🏼‍♀️
