My M1 Mac Mini will arrive on March 14. 😂 I hope the redesigned model is more expensive so I wont regret my decision to buy the M1 Mac Mini instead of waiting for the redesign one.

Two questions I have about the 2022 Mac mini. Will the hp jack also be an Optical port, as my 2014 Mac mini has? And will it be completely compatable with 🍎Music? As like ios, my iPad Air automatically changes to the correct bit dept & sample rate as they change from one track to another. My current Mac mini has to be changed manually.

From my view, it's unlikely there will be be a Mac Mini "PRO" by that name per se. Rather, it will simply be the higher end Mac Mini (maybe with M-series Pro or M-series Max - even thats not certain). Also, not likely to be Mac Mini in colors (not how Apple rolls). Keep in mind the genesis of the Mac Mini ... it was the "switcher" machine for those that already had displays, mice, keyboard. Apple will continue that basic product positioning ... otherwise it would cross-compete with Mac Pro and iMac (altho Apple doesnt shy away from that approach ... as long as people buy Apple).

I’m not so sure the M2 lower end version will have four Thunderbolt ports. I’m thinking they’ll maintain the two displays the old M1 Mac mini had where you could have one display on Thunderbolt with a second one on HDMI. I think they’d lose a lot of higher end M1 Pro/(maybe Max) Mac mini sales if they did.

I hope they do silver for pro also. Space gray can’t be matched by third parties well. Don’t buy anything in that color, but really want to upgrade the Mac mini.

The difference in casual or normal usage between M1 and M2 seems minimal. I’ll probably just buy a discounted M1 Mac Mini once M2 comes out :D

Yes all this support for external monitors that simply does not work as it should. HIDPI mode not working etc. Why praise something that it will take another 3 major osx upgrades to partially be fixed?

I am going to most likely get a Mac mini too. I can then connect it with a large screen monitor. It'll save me money also because I won't have to spend hundreds of dollars on screen replacement or replacement of major components in the iMac or MacBook Pro. Mac Mini is perfect for day-to-day tasks and some professional graphic design work.
