I love period cups! It feels like i m not even on my period and it's so much easier to exercise with it because i never leak, instead of when i have used tampons or pads that feels like with every move you are swimming in your own blood down there. It also feels healthier and cleaner because there are so many chemicals like bleach in pads and tampons that used to irritate me but i used to put up with it because i thought there was no other choice. It takes a bit to get used to it but im never going back ! Plus its cool to see how much blood you actually release.

I once tried it and it took me like 30 minutes to get it out because even when squatting, my fingertips could barely reach the edge of that cup. That was nerve wracking as hell, but I’m tempted to try again.

To anyone who is scared of using a menstrual cup, trust me, its the best thing that has happened to people who get periods. The first time i tried it, I almost died. I was shaking so bad. But I felt immense joy when I got it right. It feels like u r not even on your periods. Never going back to pads. I dont have to worry about leakage every other minute.

The info about squatting, breaking suction, not yanking stem- all very helpful. Imagine long nails are a deterrent to proper/easy use. 😊

Omg I wish I had discovered the menstrual cup sooner. My first EVER time using one yesterday and its so convenient!! 12 hours without having to change any pads or tampons. Got the cup because I am going on holiday soon and I will still have my period. The plus side is there's no leakage or smell because the blood doesn't come in contact with the air. Try it girls !!

If you take a deep breath and push it actually helps push the cup down a little so you can grab it and pull it out.

It is a great invention!

It takes time to get used to it but it’s ok and above all environmentally sustainable

I use it and it’s not that expensive

I was skeptical about these for the longest, but they make my period SO MUCH EASIER to handle. And much less messy overall. I just shower 2/3 times a day during and clean/reinsert in the shower

Indeed, never yank the stem. Switching from pads to menstrual cups definitely takes time and patience to get comfortable, but it's totally worth it.
