France’s Far Left Coalition looking to take shock victory in election

Exit polls are predicting a shocking turnaround after the second round of voting in France's general election.

The New Popular Front, France's Far Left coalition, looks set to take a shock victory after exit polling indicated it would win between 175 and 205 seats.

The country's far-right party, the National Rally, has lost its heavy first-round lead and by the exit polling's most generous estimates is only expected to come third.

Incumbent President Emmanuel Macron's gamble to call the snap election appears to have failed as polls indicate his centrist Ensemble Party will come second.

I don't know, this could actually be a blessing in disguise for Le Pen. Coming first place without an absolute majority (almost impossible to achieve given the massive anti-RN mobilization) would have meant being unable to do anything (because everyone else would have obstructed any attempt from RN to implement their policy) while being constantly bombarded from all sides by accusations of "not keeping promises". Now that unfavorable position has been given to the far left. Let them and Macron keep destroying France for the next three years, it will work in favor of RN in the end.
