Quite interestingly, Wilfrid Sellars gives a similar diagrammatic depiction of Plato (and Descartes, Locke, Kant) which very much resemble this in his lectures, Kant and Pre-Kantian Themes.

Idealism's apologetic strength seems to be that alternative views are not provable other than through consciousness, and consciousness is all that can be proven anyway. It's amazing how materialism still dominates our age and has even become ironically skeptical of consciousness itself.

Have you read any of Lloyd Gerson's work? He really unlocked the relationship between Plato and the Forms for me, namely that the forms are causes not universals. This really helped me to understand German Idealism's reception of Plato

It makes me a little uncomfortable hearing descriptions of Platonic doctrines since, if you want to proclaim settled teachings, you shouldn't write dialogues...and dialogues involving people who aren't you...and dialogues which are only reported by people who were present at the original dialogue...and dialogues with various kinds of you briefly note, is Timaeus Plato?
