This channel has helped me gain a far greater understanding of personal finance than I could have ever imagined as a 19 year old. Was making pretty good money as a teenager and was wasting it trying to fit in a look cool, Luckily I never went into debt but up until about 6 months ago was pretty much spending every dollar I made, now I am extremely frugal and save and invest every week and I’m 1000x happier living frugally than when I was wasting money trying to fit in. Former HEB Manager here: Nickie, if you're serious about making a go at HEB, I cannot recommend enough that you need to go to another department living/MIC) and get on a management track. Getting on a management track in Market is going to take entirely too much time for your situation. They are going to rapidly expand in DFW in the next 5 years and they are in desperate need of managers and currently do not have an existing network in DFW, so they're currently pulling from other regions (Houston/Central) to meet their current needs. A lot of these management roles top out at $100k plus with a 70-85k median salary. There is no ceiling with HEB if you're willing to grind it out in grocery...

Retirement for some people becomes their bondage in poverty because they failed to invest with the little they have on their active years of working, this is an error we need to start working on now, I’ll advise that while you still can work and earn also take some money aside and invest in your future after retirement so this classification won’t have to be yours
