The pure irony of this video post, literally yesterday spending all day doing the research on every trusted model, going through reviews, the prices, package times, sitting there wondering what versions are worth it, finally buying the said trackers to sleep crash after..And not even 5 hours later this drops that literally is all the research but better in every way with testing comparisons.
I'm salty, impressed, and just deadpan at the timing of it all.

Slime is honestly an awesome tracking alternative as long as your prepared to take the time to make them look good. I personally use them and dance a lot in vr, I managed to mostly figure out how to stop the floating issue (it's an issue in calibration btw but everyone seems to have different ways of solving it) and have had multiple people believe I was in fact using vives. I still plan on getting vives at some point to test them out WITH Slimevr but at the moment they're great for a cheaper alternative if your a broke highschool/college student like me lol

being a pole dancer myself i personally can say the vive trackers are amazing for pole dancing like when you really get moving it stays tracking perfectly

If you didnt know, theres a program called Slimetora that someone made, that allows you to use slimevrs server (Which has much better tracking results than the HaritoraX Configurator). Basically allowing you to have slime's better tracking with the ease of HaritoraX's straps and whatnot.

should of also mentioned you can achieve slime vr tracking with just random things that normally shouldn't work like switch joycons. I use switch joycons and my phone and its- MM.

Build my own SlimeVR Trackers for cheap (around 220€ for 8 individual trackers). Just got it working like 2-3 days ago. Its honestly not that hard, but takes A LOT of time (even more so if you are not that good with soldering). You can also make it even cheaper by buying different imu`s. I like them because i can sit at my desk without the risk of loosing tracking like the lighthouse based trackers. The setup is not that easy tho (if you want a good result) and the crown still goes to lighthouse trackers. In the end its just important what fits your case. Im happy with my 8 point imu tracking. It works with my quest, was cheap and has about 12 hours of power

Excellent and entertaining video on all the various solutions out there! Having been strapped up with 20 trackers myself for mocap, I related so much to the thumbnail lol.

Real talk: You are the one who inspired me to become a youtuber and help the SlimeVR community with your videos! I loved the fun vibes, it made me want to get into it, and now I've gotten a bungie harness to bounce and spin around in in FBT! You 100% influenced me to have more fun than anyone has any right to!

I understand that Slimes are not your pick, but you were very fair with all the opinions. I think with the hip tracker set lower, a few inches below belly button on a solid mounting, you would get less of the jiggling (soft tissue + imu tracking is bad) and floating. I can't help myself, I always want to point out improvements!

I think slime is really really good for cheap comparing it to the valve ultimate trackers there is almost no difference
