The director of the next MonsterVerse film, Grant Sputore, has stated that his favorite Godzilla film “isn’t out yet” hinting that his movie will be his dream Godzilla film. So I think it's most likely that his film will be Godzilla-focused because it wouldn't make much sense for his favorite “Godzilla” film to be a Kong-focused story.

It’s really a good time for Godzilla and Kong fans alike. Some take it for granted because of his roles in the last 2 movies but we all know Godzilla will steal the show again in the next, whether he’s a supporting character or the main character.
It’s too bad fans of both won’t be able to get a Monsterverse fighting game that’s like the older Toho ones that were made for consoles. Imo, that’d be a good way for Legendary to do a hypothetical scenario of if the Monsterverse met Pacific Rim.

Let's be clear it's Godzilla's world, Kong gets to live in it. I have always favored the big lizard. Mostly because at one time they were giant. Not on the level of Godzilla but the saurapods didn't miss by much. No ape has ever been anywhere close to that size.

Hopefully the new movie has Godzilla centered, Mothra spotlights and not dying, a threat that's so dangerous has you worried for the alpha titans, a actual threat that's not so OP that it becomes a pet, and atleast some Godzilla and Mothra combo's, they have been allies for millions of years im surprised we havent gotten any movies (other than Kotm) with them actually doing combo's and fighting together, they are the original earth protectors afterall they've must of learned a lot of combos during ancient battles.

i do believe and really want Godzilla to take a center stage role in the next film like how Kong was in the last 2 films, the big guy could use more fleshing out lore wise and needs some quality attention

I’m interested to see skull island in live action again for season two of legacy of monsters. Maybe they will show some of the creatures of the island only seen in the comics. It would be neat to see some of them in tv action.

My most anticipated piece of Goji media going into 2025 is one without the King at all. Mothra Queen of the Monsters by Sophie Campbell and Matt Frank is sure to be great. I'm also very much excited to see Goji take on Marvel.
