The government has always been in bed with the big corporations. The best thing you can do is not vote for more regulation but for less regulation and use your demand to reward the companies you deem ethic and punish those you reject.

It's not an either or, it's an all and, meaning we all do what we can as individuals. Billionaires, corporations, governments, agencies, and others also need to do what they can, and they have vastly more resources to do so than the average person not to mention the most marginalized people.

I would suggest it matters what occurrence you don't like. The presenter talked about paper straws. This is well within consumers power to fix, they just choose not to. Stop an energy company from dumping hazardous materials... That is a different matter.

The big and only problem is the criminal. Criminals DO NOT follow rules or laws. You can make all the rules and laws you want. Criminals don't care.

Yep, politics is personal. Your games and competitions affect the people of the land much more than the two teams at play. It's no wonder why the players of the game don't think about, plan for, or serve the people.

Capitalism is not fixable. We as people don't have the power to fix it either because the system is working as intended.

The dark side? I have to wonder if there is a light side? When business becomes more powerful than governments as they are now, I fail to see a light side.

The market should regulate itself ... government and people can become corrupt.
If one can choose where to spend his money, instead of being forced in to participate in something one would benefit little or nothing, the power shifts in one's favor.
In the other hand, one should create value in order to participate in these trabsactions, not receiving handouts from money stolen from others.
