If Amazon has a low tier internet package somewhere between $20 and $35 and lets the customer own their own equipment or the equipment is in the price then that would be a game changer for internet.

You had me at "rural". That's my current struggle: finding reliable yet affordable service away from the burbs.

We spend so many of my days each month at a cabin in the boonies and a service that lets us get internet there is a real blessing for those evenings where we can stream tv. Hoping for an inexpensive solution for both home and away.

Man I hope this flies. Would be a great addition and help bring prices down I think. Great video

The competition is welcome. Innovation and investment in infrastructure have languished for decades in many areas where cable companies have been able to charge whatever they want for the same coax wires they installed in the 1990s.

With 2 defunct discs already on my roof, i would appreciate a service that allows utilization of them.
Point # 2-Amazon does a fair job on their existing businesses, so i would hope that they will carry over their business model into the new line.
Having said that, I REALLY hate that more space trash is going up.😢

I am going to assume that these satellite based internet providers will suffer from the same "rain fade" as Dish and DirecTV on the TV side?

My choice would be influenced by data caps. I have Spectrum now with no cap when they put a cap on it will be time to look around.

looking forward to Amazon internet. If their supreme customer service for internet meets present Prime service, I would love it.

If you have to put a dish out side for one gig is not worth it when you can get one gig with out a big ass disk outside

Cord cutting is getting more expensive, directv 150 channels $65, and cord, just the basic channels(abc, nbc, CBS, and fox) $100

What happens if you don’t have a mailbox & try to order one from Amazon? They won’t have anywhere to deliver it

My Google fiber 1 gig at $70 sounds better than Amazon's 400 mb satellite at $90.

I couldn't care any less when this is several years out. I've been on the waitlist for starlink for 6 months and can't even log in to starlink to see whats going on. Shits annoying
