Thank you for coming back Luke. I wondered where you went and didn’t care for the new direction. I hope you are amazingly successful. I was a longtime Dish Network customer and got tired of losing service every time it rained or snowed hard. I had put up an antenna, but didn’t have a DVR so that was less than satisfying. I tried about 10 streaming services when I first cut the cord to figure out which ones met my needs. I have added and removed services. I do subscribe to YouTube TV. It’s expensive, but has most of what I want. I hated the guide, but they recently improved it a lot. I now have 4 services and I don’t think I need anymore unless new programming makes it desirable. I’m saving about $100 per month now. I’m a happy cord cutter.

The folks who say streaming is more expensive than cable should realize that streaming has no contracts and folks can switch streaming services at any given time. I know I can switch away from Hulu Live TV at any given point, but I choose to stick around because I enjoy it a lot

At first I cut the cord to save money. Now I have decided that there are things more important than saving money. I subscribe to as many services as meets my wants (and needs) presently. I am blessed enough to be able to say and mean it "it's only money".

Great job, and welcome back, Luke. We subscribe to 8 streaming services. Our limit is to stay below $100. If we go above that, we turn one off. We are considering cutting Netflix because I don't remember the last time I used it.

Amazon's Home Internet Service would be a game changer for us. We get home internet from Spectrum at around $80 a month which is fine but we don't need a "gamer" type service as we only are interested in some internet and streaming from sources like Netflix. The coming Amazon service that has me excited is that we spend an inordinate amount of time away from home at a cabin 30 miles south of our home where we only get a few shows from an antenna and dicey internet from a cell phone and service for both homes at just under $100 a month would be very appealing.

Starlink is amazing for us in rural America that has no other options. Also the speeds are good. The only issue is cost of equipment. However when that is the only option it is amazing, and the service is is fantastic.

I had DirecTV but cut the cord late last year due to the high cost of $187/month. I now have YouTube TV, Frndly, OAN, Paramount+ (free with Walmart), Apple TV (free 6 month with T-Mobile) and Fox Nation. I watch YouTube TV and Frndly the most because they have the channels I watch the most. Still saving money over DirecTV.

Funny we started watching free tv with commercials, then cable popped up, and we got rid of commercials, now we are cutting the cord, and we are back to watching TV with commercials, it is the closed circle returning to the beginning

I have 4 major streaming services, as I saved on Black Friday deals for them. 👍

Great to see you back Luke! I use Roku with a Philo subscription and Amazon prime. I also love Tubi, Plex, and Pluto TV ! Saving a good amount of money! Love your channel buddy! Keep up the great work! Many thanks!

Even with just 4 services... my family doesn't have enough time to watch them all. We use Plex DVR service for OTA channels and Netflix, that's where we spend 90 percent of our watching time.

when i had dish, 1 dvr, hbo, showtime, and most of the popular channels like motortrend, nick, etc., 180.00. now i pay 18.00 with youtube premium, discovery plus. if you do 1 or 2 at a time, its a awesome deal.

You asked for feedback, so here goes. I just called Optimum and informed them that I would like to cancel their service because the price was to high. I talked to a very nice lady for about 30 minutes and she ended up making the following package deal for me. I will retain my Select TV package, upgrade to the Optimum mini box with DVR, upgrade my internet to 100 mbs, and will pay (before taxes) 113.00 per month. The price is guaranteed for 1 year. I was paying 167 previously for the same tv package and 50 mbs internet, plus I was using a Tivo Romio box and paying Tivo 15.00 per month for programming information making my total 182.00 per month. This service will be 7.00 per month less than "cord cutting" with ATT fiber 300 mbs for internet along with youtube tv for television. This was the cheapest way I found to cut the cord and still get all of the shows I had before. Youtube and ATT internet would both increase their price in 6 months. To be fair, youtube tv offers a larger tv lineup then Optimum select.

I enjoy your channel very much. Keep up the good work!

I have had cable since 1979 and have never gone a day without it, except power outages. I looked into cutting the cord this year but when I add in the internet and buying some kind of streaming stick for 2 TV's it was only a $25 reduction. I'm old and my memory is going to the toilet and just having to remember which service has which show every week is very difficult. So I'm still stuck with cable.

Luke, the myth that cable TV is cheaper is as I said a myth. I have found that my costs have gone down and the quality, beneficial features and portability have gone up with the switch to streaming services (Hulu bundle, Frndly TV & Discovery Plus). Though with the cost rising for broadband the cost is getting closer to where I was 2 years ago, it is still so much better.
