NASA Discovers a Planet That Defies All Previous Knowledge!

If you ask a random person how many planets there are, the answer is often: "Eight". While it is true that our home planetary system has eight official members - this is only the tiny tip of the cosmic iceberg! So far, experts have succeeded in identifying some 5,000 exoplanets in more than 3,600 systems. While this search for alien worlds is always subject to the hope of one day tracking down a cosmic twin of Earth, the reality so far paints a very different picture. Many planets are bizarre celestial bodies that could not be more different from our earthly home. One exoplanet can be called unusual even in the squadron of these strange worlds: Super-Saturn J1407b. What we have learned so far about this grotesque celestial body, and which unusual exoplanets beyond that were discovered, we reveal to you in today's video!

The fact that for something so far away we can estimate the exact number of rings and that is has a satellite is just amazing

Surprise how scientists can see so far but cant find one missing plane in earth itself

I'm always curious as to how they know the age of our sun of about 5 billion years old.

Super Saturn would have to be a brown dwarf if more than 13 masses of Jupiter.

Could it be a new star in the making 🤔?

In astronomy and physics metric system is used, not royal (kilometres, not miles)

Narrator- "...first confirmed ocean planet..."
Earth- "W T F, Bro?!!!"

I'm a subscriber! I love the narration. The only critique I would give would be to provide the narrator with correct pronunciations. Some words are ok, but when you have a word like "celestial' mispronounced 30 times, it's a bit annoying. 'Celestial' does not have an 'R' in it.

9. Until they discover Pluto is In realty a moon to a Keiper Belt object, it will always be the 9th planet.

What if one day Saturn becomes a exoplanet? It's rings will one day be it's body. And Jupiter it's so massive because it, it's self is molding into a exoplanet and there is really no such thing as gas giants. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 If this is certain, Our solar system is younger than previously thought.

There's a lot of possible things to learn here like possibly we and the other rocky planets here could have been gas giants that were pulled in at red giant stage and the gases sucked in

I feel like the experts are just guessing about this stuff. How many times do they say that "conclusions are being drawn" or something to that effect. Scientists change their minds about this stuff all the time

Why the interest in "Super Earth's" or Jupiter sized planets? Wouldn't gravity be completely different to human beings?

HEADLINE ! Nasa thinks just maybe guessing there is a planet that big.
