What are three differences between a Sephardic synagogue and ashkenazic synagogue?
Today I had the pleasure to meet with rabbi Yosef Zarnighian, of congregation mikvah Israel in Philadelphia. The oldest active synagogue in the United States of America which was founded in 1740. This is a Spanish Portuguese synagogue which follows the Sephardic Jewish tradition. I am a ashkenazik Rabbi. In this video you will learn a few differences between the different styles of Judaism.

We used to go to a synagogue that was initially Ashkenazi, but about half the congregation was Sephardic. Over time they mixed the two traditions to create a beautiful little congregation. ❤ thank you for reminding me ❤❤

Depends on the mood. Sometimes I like Ashkenazi other times sephardi way of praying is better. . I like the ashkenazik way of reading. I like the Sephardic music.

I’m a true American orthodox Jew but I tend to lean more towards Sephardic traditions, my mothers family immigrated from Russia and Austria-Hungary, she grew up in the bronx in in the early 40’s, she moved to the Bay Area ca. and here I am figuring out my place along with my sons amongst our people, it’s a beautiful journey. Thank you for your channel and your content Rabbi, my son and I both enjoy your energy, love for our heritage and your info Todah rebah

I am Jewish, but only by heritage. I am a Christian. My Family does participate in Hanukkah, and I am descended from Ashkenazi by the name of Stienhart. Shalom, and happy Hanukkah. Thank you for the information.

Both are beautiful. I'm proud to be sephardic specially when it's Minyah. We can pray singing personal

It depends. If I want quick and efficient, I prefer Ashkenaz. If I want beautiful and communal, I prefer Sfaradi... If I want the real deal, I prefer Temeni.
