Everyone, including you, always says the best module is the one you want to learn and that is true and valid. However, if you HAD to pick just one... the Hornet does offer so much and it is forgiving to us learning types.

f18 is center stick, tgp is in the most annoying position, in DCS the systems don't seem to communicate as well....
yes, the f16 has ruined me for the f18, it is what it is.

Trust me dont go buy a bunch of jets. I would suggest the f16 or f14 first then get the f18 after you have full knowledge of your first jet. I made the mistake of buying a bunch of them at one time and keep jumping from jet to jet because they all are great in vr especailly. Closes you will come to being in the real thing. Hint. You mist have a beast of a gpu and pc to run vr

There are better fighters there are better strikers, but as a multirole aircraft yea its the bees knees

Its great but not for your fitst hi fedelity jet. There are other great one. I love the f14 tomcat since it a analog jet and you really feel the jet wih shaking and van get in a flat spin and kill goose just like top gun movie. I love the f16 viper also. The 10 tank 2 is a beast at ground attacks and the av8b harrier and f15 eagel. Now the hardest to physically fly is the appachee . I own all these and fly these the most f18 f14 and apachee.
