In this Volume IV of George Vancouver’s 6-part chronicle of his 1791-1795 ‘Vancouver Expedition’ to Canada’s Pacific Northwest, Captain Vancouver and his crew return from Hawaii to Nootka Sound on the northwest coast of Vancouver Island. They continue north and proceed to explore the various sounds, harbours, and archipelagos north of Vancouver Island, where they are attacked by natives. They sail by the Queen Charlotte Islands and continue all the way south to California, where they spend another length of time in the Spanish settlements.
