"Even when an engine blows up, it's usually just a bolt that let go..." 😂 Love this guy!

Your description of the problem sounds exactly like the problem I have at the moment. I will look in to this right away! Thanks!

When the ECU died on my 93 it went into limp accompanied by just about everything acting erratic. Heater speed, stability control failure, radio scanning up and down channels, dash lights flashing like a disco. Switch it of and leave it half hour and it fired up like nothing is wrong then Turbo got disabled (Soft limp mode) Managed to drive 100 miles home and still drive the car to the garage to get the ECU diagnosed and replaced.

Have a 2006 9-3 Sportcombi here in CA I’ve owned since 2009. Currently as 215k miles so I appreciate your videos on troubleshooting and keeping these cars on the road. I still daily drive it. I fear a complicated issue that could ground my little ‘jet’. All hail the easy ones :)

Hopefully won't happen to me, but as always, your videos are a treasure trove of useful information. Thank you.

A common grounding corrosion point is beneath the battery tray casement on this vehicle. I would’ve checked there first before running a new wire. Excellent troubleshooting with multimeter.

Easy to go down the rabbit hole in panic mode when the 93 ECU comes into play. Not necessary in this case. Brilliant video :) Same 93 and year as yours btw.

Always s helpful. I love your videos. I have a question i recently got my fuel pump and fuel relay replaced to solve a p0089 fuel pressure regulator code but now my 2006 aero is not starting as it should. It takes 2 cranks to start. Any recommendations?

Nice one !. Have you or anyone worked out how to permanently turn off, the TP RDS on the radio ?
So annoying it interrupts anything I'm listening to multiple times during a journey . I'm forever pushing this button off and tried holding it pressed a few seconds with no joy. I'm close to showing the damn thing a hammer !.

Great advice, my 9-3 had the negative cable replace last year and touch wood no further issue regarding the electrical side.. sadly the car took a battering 2 weeks ago from the tail end of a lorry... anyone know a good saab body guy in the uk - preferably essex area?? Rear drivers side light, rear quarter panel and soft top cover dented and gauged...

ECU is a computer. When he starts up, he probably first clicks that relay, then checks on other things. If some ground is bad, the check will fail and then ECU may just restart, and we are back to the beginning, so it clicks the relay again and so on... When one thing goes wrong like that in that cable, maybe more trouble is on the way. Maybe water is getting into it somewhere. I'd sell this car while it still works.

Hi,

I have a strange problem with my car. When I park the car and try to start it the next day, it won't start from the ignition. To get it going, I have to connect a cable from the relay to the negative terminal while the car is in the start position, then the car starts. After I do this and drive the car for about an hour, it starts normally with the key without any issues.

I've replaced the battery with a brand new one, but the problem persists. I noticed that if I disconnect the battery cables overnight and then reconnect them the next day, the car starts. I also tried using jumper cables from another car, but that didn't help. The car only starts by connecting from the relay.

Could it be the engine control unit not sending a signal to the starter motor? I've also replaced the relay, but that didn't help either. Does anyone know what this could be?

Thanks!
Can you please help me
