🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:

*How much yarn will I need?* This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!

*How many squares do I need for a blanket?* That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀

*How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's?* Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.

I am 67 years old and have been crocheting for more than 50 years. This has always been a problem for me. Goes to show you are never too old to learn. Also your tutorial for the magic ring has saved my sanity ! Thank You

It works! I’m a beginner and just chained 79 stitches without a twist. Thanks so much.

Genius!!! I didn’t expect to find an answer to my query other than ‘control your tension’ but your tip, including how to join, was exactly what I needed! I had attempted to simply chain then join, then crochet my project 4-5 times but once I used your tip, it came out perfect! Thank you, thank you!

After so many years of crocheting, you’ve taught me a wonderful tip. I’m 72 years old and began crocheting by teaching myself from a Coats and Clark’s Learn How Book when in my 20’s. Wonderful!

Thank you so much for this tip. I have been trying to start a top that has a long chain to have to join. I can't get my chain to stay straight long enough to join and work a row of single crochets around it. I have frogged it sbout 3 times and was going to give up. Now, I wil try again. Thank you a thousand times.

I’m so bad with huge chains that I’ve done it this way and it still twisted. 😂 Done it last night like this and it done fine. It is a nice trick!

Thanks very much. Chains are my nightmare and I've often ababndoned a project because I can't work a flat chain. Now I might even get my 1st row done too.

WOW, this is unbelievable! Newer to crochet, I've made a few baby beanies using the magic circle. Now trying a baby afghan, my starting chain for just the sample was twisted no matter how much I tried to keep it straight. I swear I frogged for 3 hours today trying to get it straight! This is a game changer. Thank you SO much!

Thanks for the tip! I have a beautiful scarf pattern I have been afraid to attempt because the directions start out with "chain 255". I'm fairly new to crochet and I knew my chain would be a mess. I'll give this a try! Oh, and your nails are fabulous!

Thank you Robin, I was feeling a bit daunted about having to chain the 150 stitches again, but a simple way of ensuring a non twisted chain when making a snood, thank you again for my sanity 🙂
