You genuinely seem to be a very happy person, kind of enlightened or something :) That's hopeful :)

This has given me hope. I've taken the tips you've offered and I'm sticking to them. Starting small, taking it one day at a time. It's been a couple weeks and I've already noticed a difference in my perception and general mindstate. I just wanna say thank you.

Mark why do doctors keep saying that it is a condition you'll have to deal with for life? It's very discouraging and makes you think ERP is useless because you can't get over it anyway according to them... but then there's someone like you out there who clearly has overcome it. Do you know more people like yourself? I find it hard to find people who have fully recovered from OCD. I know it's possible, but I hear so little people about it and that makes me wonder if you are just an exception and the majority of us are screwed like the doctors say we are... I'd rather believe you but everyone around me believes the doctors and says that it's an illness and I just need to take meds (even though I've tried so many that didn't help before)

Ocd is not chronic!!! I had it for years but with right treatment I am completely out of it.. its like 5 years .. i am completely out of it.. everyone said you can get it after years again .. ok life is unpredictable .. I can even die another hour.. so why to complicate your present.. thinking about future.. and the more u hear its chronic the more it makes it hard to recover.. because we are making it a big deal for the brain. Just stop googling ocd or ocd stories.. just give your brain a little break from Ocd plsss.. dont overload it with soo much information which may not be even true.. i know how it feels to go through it. But believe me you will get through it.. just believe in yourself. Anyone wants to talk let me know🙏🏻

Hi Mark, I managed to push OCD back into a latent stage, but recently due to stress from uni and some other factors I have experienced a relapse that was caused by a panic attack.

If OCD relapses and setbacks can be managed then why is it like some people are able to manage the relapses comfortably while the others get stuck??

This is the new thought coming in my mind as I've learnt to manage my OCD after battling a particular theme..

But they always say “OCD is a brain condition that can’t be cured”

Hi Mark, can you confirm that after 9 years of releasing this video? I know, it may be just kind of reassurance but I am baffled by overwhelming agreement that it is chronic.

Well I have OCD and if I stop taking my medications my anxiety goes overboard. So, at least in my case, it is chronic.

Yep, it is. Cannot be cured = chronic. Can be managed well = recovery.
