Dynamic Range in Photography Explained

Simply put, dynamic range is the difference between an image's brightest highlights and darkest shadows. A camera with a more dynamic range can capture a greater difference between highlights and shadows in one image and still recover the brightest and darkest spots in post-processing.

Since so much of landscape photography happens at sunset or sunrise, when the amount of ambient light is low, you will experience scenes with very dark foregrounds and very bright highlights. This is why dynamic range is incredibly important. In my opinion, dynamic range is the most important thing to look for when picking out a camera for landscape photography...

Guess my 250D's dynamic isnt the same than newer, expensive cameras. But hopefully its still enough for me til I some day upgrade to mirrorless.

Or you can take three photos at different exposures and melt them together...
