While I appreciate what you're trying to do, what it doesn't take into account is the 30 yard duff from the middle of the fairway that puts real stress on someone who aspires to break 100 (like my Mrs!) and makes the next shot so much harder. Could you, perhaps, do one of these vlogs course managing a genuine 100 shooter so you can manage mistakes as they are made?

This is such a good video for 90% of amateur golfers

Possibly the best vlog that you have ever made. Very informative, with brilliant tips.
Your efforts to mimic a 28 handicapper leave a bit to be desired. No duff shots, fats, things, hooks, slices. It's amazing that we ever break 100, with all that going on.

Trying to shoot level par. Best ever is one over. For people looking to break 100, keeping the 8, 9, 10s off the card is key. Learning how to get the ball back in to play from trouble in one shot can make a big difference too.

As a new golfer, I am shooting usually between 104 and 112, this is so relevant as I feel so close to breaking 100. Just need to get rid of that high scoring hole or two that always seems to creep into every round! For me 3 putting is a definite, last round I deliberately marked my card each whole that I 3 putted or worse and was amazed to see that out of the 18 I only 2 putted 4 times. That could be a 14 stroke reduction for a start! For my second area of practice it really has to be pitching and chipping to within 7 paces, genuinely the most helpful video I’ve watched on YouTube 👍

I am aware that this video is not aimed at me, as I am a low handicapper, and have broken par many times. But the favourite time of my golfing 'career' was when I was aiming to score under 100, and the thrill of hitting the odd great shot. I sometimes wish I could go back and do it again, as golf was actually less frustrating back then. Interesting video guys.

Appreciate you guys. I’m a 100 shooter and found that not swinging so hard has really improved fairways hit without losing much distance because I get better contact. Typically drive is 200+/- but I have had some go 230-260 (gravity aided). My putter (not me) is broken 😡 and I regularly 3 putt.
Lots to learn and put into practice…

Your other video on lag putting helped me out a ton last week all I focused on was putting in a 2ft circle and came in second in my flight in my men's club ...

I think more miss hits would help as in brings in the need for the extra shot or two.

Some great ideas here. You can simulate the distance of a 100-shooter by playing a shorter club but for you guys the ball is going where you aim it. The big issue that the 100+ shooters I play with is consistency. They can hit their driver 200 yards+ 7 out of 10 times, but 4 of those times it will finish in trouble either left or right.

Great video. I am a 10 handicap but still picked up some useful tips on putting

Interesting and very helpful video. I'm retired and play with a couple of golfers that can't drive it 200 yds consistently. They typically score in the low 90's sometimes into the 80's.The difference - their short games (50yds in) would be similar to low handicappers. I can consistently drive the ball 250-270 yds. However, my short game is crap so they typically score better than I do. I wish I had their short game. I know that I have to practice that part of my game more and also incorporate your tips. Thanks

I'm sure Rory will appreciate you guys mentioning him 20 times in a break 100 video 😂

Just discovered you on youtube and I love your videos them coming as a golfer that hasn't played in 20 years and just getting back into it...

The "distance control when putting" demonstration was fantastic. Something often overlooked and really well explained here.

This video is you at your best. Most everyone can get something from this. Thanks!

I always club to the back pin. Always land short of that. Well almost - occasionally it sails over the back - but am pleased with a flush hit

One of the best videos I have watched! Ive been playing (badly) since 14. Now 38 with a 17 year hiatus I have committed to playing more and better. Best score 104. I can comfortably hit over 200 but direction is inconsistent. Next biggest issue is poor approach play/heroic shots. I'm actively trying to reduce 3 putting and pace control is getting better. Greens in regulation is next to zero. Such a mental game and requires loads of concentration over long periods. I typically overthink my set up and pre shot routine so still searching for a good swing thoughts and feels for better, more consistent ball striking. The quest continues..

That putting tip is just so obvious yet gold! Been focusing way too much on line and hole! 3 putting a lot of the time!

This video is gold. Mark, for all of the things that you are abrasive about, this is truly for the love of the game. Well done!
