I cut the “Y” out and ran dual in dual out with a Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler. Much less restrictive.

I used a Flowmaster Y pipe #Y250300. And welded it in place of the factory Y pipe. WAY BETTER then factory.

All that easily fixed with some nice American Racing long tubes. But I understand you have to worry about CARB out in Cali. You got to think how do I stay legal. I never heard of it, never looked into it because long tubes would be my fix.
