Linus, LGA 1366 and LGA 1156 are as one, LGA 1366 are enthusiast, while the latter is for general consumer. Similar to LGA 2011 and LGA 1155.

I wish every socket had the same hole layout, even if it is either Intel ot AMD, it is a pain in the ass having 5 backplates to soare when getting a CPU cooler and wont be able to throw them away because you never know when you will change a motheboard

Haha I just bought a brand new mega shadow from a friend that just had one sitting around, then I freaked out cuz I have an 1155 and it says it fits 1156's. But thank god I did not waste my money haha. Good video.

Could you try to put the 1156 cpu on the 1155 there might be a reserve pin you don't need.

Been checking for a while and I love that this confirms that as far as coolers go, 1156 and 1155 are the same. Planning on getting the Noctua NH-D14 but the bloody thing only says socket 1156 + all those other older gens. No 1155. I was a little worried but now I'm not. Yay ^.^
