The BMW i5 eDrive40 has a range of 295 miles on the EPA rating and it comes with Level 2+ driver assistance features. It includes a new Highway Assist with automated lane change. An eye-tracking device located behind the steering wheel allows drivers to automatically change lanes by simply moving their head to the left or right.

Just watched premiere of the new e class and i don’t like the design at all.. 5 series even in camo looks way better. Hope the interior is better looking than the last i pad thing.

Styling wise, looks much better than the new 7/i7. Easy on the eye. BMW styling is all over the map these days. Some designs are evolutionary and rather attractive (3er, X3, X1), while others are unhinged and super polarizing (XM, 7). Maybe they want niche/low volume models to be more adventurous and polarizing, while staying conservative on volume models. Any theories?

great showcase as always, thank you ! BMW told the SmART-Ambient-Lightbar is feature which is for the premium cars only. I wonder if the 5 series get also the "Interaction Bar" ? because in Germany the 5 series is also premium like 7 series.

Truer to form, and the traditional kidney grilles are welcome. But, WHY does BMW insist on abandoning the past design language? The missing roundel influence in circular headlights (eg angel eye) is egregious! Furthermore, more screens, more garbage are just distractions from “the ultimate driving machine.” We need buttons that fall readily at hand!

Is the big difference between iDrive 8.0 comapre to 8.5? Is it realy worth for waiting?

I hope that the interior is not too minimalistic. I really liked the interior like the center console and the button placement for clima confrol, volume, etc. The decorative elements made of wood or alumminium give the current and older 5 series a very premium feeling. I really hope that the interior will not be to "sorted" and "clean". A single display and nothing else looks super modern, but absolutely boring. I really liked the idea of the hyperscreen in the newer Mercedes-models, but now it looks just plane and that is ist. Looking forward for the announcement of this car ^^ Thank you for this video! :D
