Faster than a Porsche. Safer than a Volvo. Cheaper to run than a Prius. Zero emissions. That’s why I drive a Tesla.

45, 000 miles on our 7 seat Y in 1.5 years. Tires and that’s it. Best car ever. We also have a 3 with same mileage. Same results.

Really appreciate the shoutout! I watch your videos from time to time and like your straightforward approach. Keep up the good work!

Been listening to you for a longtime. You convinced me, just ordered a Model 3. Keep up the good work.

GREAT video Sam. I've tried to tell people the Model Y is indisputably the best car for the money at its price range. It's TWICE the car of price range competitors. The people I talk to who own Teslas tell me the same thing. The Model 3 is a great car as well; the Model Y is shockingly spacious on the interior. If you PREFER a smaller feel (some do), you may prefer the Model 3.

The charging network alone makes Tesla the only EV I would consider.

Hey, this is the guy [Gjeebs] who used to be a Tesla hater, having never driven one, and road tested a 2019 Model 3 base model about 3 to 4 years ago. And I saw that video. He was kind of knocked out by how much fun it was, comparing it to his ICE car. I never went back to his channel until now. He's had a total change in the mean time. And yes, he was entertaining but the YT algorithm never pointed me his way again. Well done Sam for doing YT's job.
NHTSA actually says that the safest ever car is the Tesla Model 3. In order of safest they go 3, Y, S, X. I think some people think it's S3XY, for some reason.😁

Yea, we test drove a lot of different cars here in Bangkok and have had down payments on 3 series B’mers, MBs and VW. We own an Everest for our two little ones to fit in with their gear. But then year and a half ago we test drove a gray market model 3 and Y. In just a couple of dozen kilometers, we were altered, changed forever. We ordered on the first day they were available in Thailand and received our Performance model Y (w/extended autopilot) on May 10 2023. And now having driven it 1331km (this min, I just checked it on my phone ) it has altered us again. Now driving other cars seem just dumb with all there complexities, hundreds and hundreds of expensive wearing parts (ford’s 10R80 transmission for one) and their lower crash safety standards for our family. We now must sell off our gas and diesel cars and buy our second Tesla. They are a must for Bangkok’s stop and go traffic, high gas prices (and a dedicated trip to a gas station can cost a lot of time) and mountain curvy roads. Teslas are fun, safe efficient.

The Y is quiet and comfortable. Ride might be on the firmer side but definitely on par with other spring suspension SUVs.

Love our Model Y. Almost 44, 000 miles. Tire cost only. First service cost after 30, 000miles was 73$. Drive it long distance without issues. ❤❤❤

I agree. I picked up my Model Y last week and l am loving it so far! I looked at every EV is it’s price range and nothing else convinced me it was a better buy than the Y. It is the best car in its class and price range, period. 👍

Another great video Sam. Here in UK taxi drivers love them above all others and tell you when they bought one they tried all the others in its class and Tesla was way ahead. When your car is responsible for your income, you do far more research to ensure your standard of living. Not only that but compared with cost per mile compared with fuel is a fraction.
Think in your future videos Sam you should give a n average cost comparison compared per mile or yearly cost per 10, 000 miles compared with petrol and diesel. That will help people make the decision to change to EV's.
Let's just hope though there will be more exciting shapes appearing on the market soon. At the moment it must feel like it did when Henery Ford first mass produced Model T's. All the same and very boring in black!

No
Pulleys, belts, transmission, starter.
No oil, gas, antifreeze Because regeneration is used for stopping brakes are never replaced. The list goes on and on.

This is financial advice and I never give financial advice: DONT LEAVE DURING THE BEAR. If you don’t want to invest…learn. If you don’t want to learn…build. If you don’t want to build observe. DO SOMETHING…other than leave. There is so much opportunity here. Take advantage!

Good! Thank you for finally qualifying the Tesla prices being ‘cheap’ except for UK! It’s almost like Sam has actually read some of my many posts on this subject!

Sam, I have been watching your videos this year and I want to thank you for all of the information which you share and comment on. It has helped to convince me that I should wait at least 18 to 24 months before I purchase a new EV as the exports and competition from Chinese manufacturers will have a global impact on our buying options in the future. Innovation from competitors in the battery industry I think will also benefit everyone in the next 2 years. Lastly, it remains to be seen if Tesla (my first purchase option), can achieve FSD EVEN with HW 4 improved capabilities (I personally doubt this). Also, it will be at least another half-decade before governments actually approve Tesla a RoboTaxi fleet despite whatever Elon claims.
