I have felt it at home where I live in the Bronx.

I just froze in fear as the apartment shook. As someone who was born and has lived in NYC for 22 years, I can say that this never happens here. Honestly, because of this, my first thought was of a nuclear explosion somewhere in Manhattan, and so, I was expecting to hear the blast wave coming before it kills me. When nothing happened, I started to frantically make phone calls to my parents and friends, but no one answered. For a second there, I thought that they have all died. They have called me a short while later, and interestingly, no one felt it. One was driving, others were busy doing other things, but I was the only one who actually felt it.

Man, what a crazy day. I think I need a drink.

Well I'm at work at 3rd avenue East 141 Street in the Bronx and the building's on this block definitely shaked to the point people ran outside to the middle of the street. It lasted for about 30 seconds maybe a little more. Also I lost cellular SVC for about 15 minutes before I could connect with anyone
