She has to be the most intelligent reporter i have heard in a long time. Great questions, very articulate, her pronunciation and enunciation is perfect.

The real worry that USGS is likely concerned with, is that the 4.7-4.8 mag quake could be the weaker prelude to something much bigger.. (bear in mind, most of the structures in New York, especially the skyscrapers & bridges, weren't constructed with earthquakes in mind, so anything greater than a 6.5+ is going to cause damage...)

Here In Los Angeles a 4.8 doesnt even get us out of bed. But we do like to use it as an excuse to be late for work ha ha.

FYI: the Hudson River runs along an old fault line!

We should commend the scientist who is obviously barely containing her laughter about the seriousness of this earthquake. God bless New York, you'll be OK.

It was felt in Vermont, NH, MA, and Maine as well.

Just to remind everyone…..back in 2011 NY did get hit with an earthquake but it was a small one.

There is a pretty big fault line running down 125th street.

Interesting that scientist used different terms for landfill and liquefaction.

Liquefaction will be a big problem on Manhattan with an earthquake.

During the days before or after a solar eclipse, the rate of earthquake always increases a little bit, due to the increased gravitationnal force exerced by the Moon on the Earth crust. The Sun and Moon gravitationnal forces are added because of the precise alignment of the three cosmic objects.

Some of these comments are ridiculous smh

Sounds like some areas suffered from Liquifaction. Hoping this 4.8 wasn’t a foreshock.

That's what I was wondering. How this effected the city. And how they'll be checking on everything

Did she say reactivate, no no no! The beast was dormant.
