I am powerful! I left his ass 7 months ago after 6 years of hell on earth. He had no clue and was in complete shock when I drove away. My mom had our daughter at the time bc I was truly scared for my life when I told him I was leaving him. Divorce with custody is difficult but I’m free, I have hope and it’s my life again. My daughter will actually know her mother… not a person just surviving life. I am powerful and better than that evil vile thing every single day. It’s an amazing life coming out of narcissistic abuse… I truly appreciate each day now.

1st Step - stop taking it personal. Care about them as much as they have shown to care about you. Once you become emotionally unattached to them, you’ll be able to identify when they’re attempting to provoke and trigger you.
I used to feel the most annoyed when I KNEW he was doing or saying things deliberately to provoke me. So it wasn’t even the content of what they were using to provoke, it was that I KNEW he was doing it on purpose and so I would react to that. So what I mean by not taking it personal, this is where it starts. A narc is gotta be a narc. You can’t help them, you can’t love them as you would a normal person. They do what they do because it was who they were and are long before they met you. Become emotionally unattached. EXPECT their provocations!

I lost my cool by text with the narcissist. I feel so stupid and regret it. But I feel so tired of being a sheep and good after keeping in so much hurt.

We used the negotiation worksheets and used many techniques and suggestions we learned from Zung. All I can say is: we are powerful!! The judge was pissed off at my husband’s narc ex-wife and gave her a good earful at the hearing. She tried to manipulate the system, the judge, my husband through courts, money, and children. We feel like we finally have the narc exposed and couldn’t have done it without these amazingly informative videos!! Thank you!!
