They should honestly make it so that when you attempt to sleep at day you just idle in the bed as if you where in multiplayer; to indicate to the player that they can skip the night the bed should have a slightly different texture (perhaps a corner of the blankets being folded over, exposing the sheets of the mattress.

I request a nap option. Sleep during the day and skip half of it for regeneration 1. Beds would finally be worthy of its cost because wool is very hard to get early game and phantoms exist (unfortunately).

The game: no digging straight down no digging straight up you can only sleep at night you can't put slabs sideways you're not allowed to kill the warden you can't run and heal at the same time you're not allowed to skip sleeping to get your projects done faster otherwise we'll bombard you with a thousand phantoms and most importantly NO HAVING FUN!
