Hyundais and Kias make up 68% of stolen cars this year in Milwaukee

Milwaukee police data shows the city’s stolen car epidemic centers around two vehicle brands in particular. Kias and Hyundais account for seven out of every ten cars stolen in Milwaukee this year.

Mandatory 3 years in jail for those offenders. Too harsh you say? Why? The sheer cost is killing the taxpayer, and the owners. Wait until car insurance...EVERY ones car insurance--goes up by 20% this year. Or worse yet, the insurance company drops it for the people that own these cars and then drive without it and hit you. As usual, there is no bite to our laws. I'd rather pay for 'two hots and a cot' and lock the offenders up then to let it continue.

Too late for me…

My car was grabbed over two weeks ago and I got NO IDEA how to cover the costs…as they stole it between the switching of insurance companies. (Because of the issue with car thefts.)

You can do this do any car with a key ... ya need a hammer and screwdriver smash the screwdriver in to the key hole pop the barrel out and use the screwdriver to start the car

Volkswagen went through this in the late 80s. I know because we were called Volkswagen Bandits.

That Sonata shown in this video is a 2006 to 2008 model. The Sonatas from 2006 to 2010 do not have this flaw. The standard key slot is built into the dash instead of the steering column. The affected models are from 2011, as thats when Hyundai updated their ignition key cylinders. If your standard key has a flat end instead of a point-triangle, get a club lock!

To prevent cars from being stolen you can't drive them if you take out the fuel relay... Solves the problem they cannot drive the vehicle. Removing the fuel relay prevents the fuel to the vehicle they will not be able to steal it... I don't know why people haven't thought of this

I live on the south side of Milwaukee and just yesterday I caught them trying to steal my daughters brand new KIA, luckily all they broke was the back window because I came outside and fired gunshots at them after we heard glass breaking (yes I do have my gun license ) somebody kids could of been killed yesterday trying to steal our stuff
